Now I've gone and done it and got myself a web blog to call my own.
The inherent trouble with these so-called 'blogs' is that the author must have the greatest self-belief in assuming that whatever he, she or it has to say is stimulating and interesting enough that someone else would take the time to read and appreciate it. Well, I best start brushing up on being an arrogant windbag with a severe case of verbal diarrhoea post haste (shouldn't be too hard).
I'm still getting to grips with the format and the tools at my disposal, so please bear with me (wow! Bold text! What next? Italics?). I've set this all up primarily as a means of letting people know what I'm up to during my study period in Japan, but hopefully it will carry on from there and expand like some horrid blister. I hope to pepper my posts with recommendations, rants and reviews, and if I can get a camera and/or a scanner, I'll be able to match images to the words and punctuation what you is looking at now.
So think of this post as THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME...but better. I hope...

Hurrah! welcome to the world of blogging. It's actually not that exciting but it is certainly useful.
